Project Broadcast is now available in Bridgit Bench

Workforce communications, simplified.

Project Broadcast is now available in Bridgit Bench

TL: DR – With the Project Broadcast, users can send messages out to an entire project team directly from Bridgit Bench. No more wasted time sending manual updates, health and safety requirements, or any message you need to be sent to an entire team. Look for the “Broadcast” button at the top of each project view.

Communicating with an entire project team can be a headache

We’ve all been there. You need to send a quick schedule update or weather shutdown to an entire project team. Now you’re writing an email, trying to track down everyone’s email addresses for the specific project, and trying to remember the difference between cc and bcc.

Oh ya. Don’t forget that John and Marcus don’t check their emails often so you’ll also need to find their cell numbers to send each a text message.

Introducing the Project Broadcast in Bridgit Bench

With the Project Broadcast, users can send email and text messages out to an entire project team directly from Bridgit Bench. No more wasted time sending manual updates, health and safety requirements, or any message you need to be sent to an entire team.

Worried about everyone being able to send a broadcast to your teams? Have no fear. Only users with permission to Manage Projects will have access to send messages from Bench.

Here’s how it works

Head over to any of your projects with at least one filled role (a broadcast needs a recipient, right?), and click the broadcast button located at the top of the page.

From the Send broadcast pop-up (pictured below), you can quickly choose whether you want to send either an email or SMS text message, create your message, select your recipients and hit send.

The Send broadcast pop-up will display all team members assigned to roles on the project with their respective assignment dates. You can choose to message the team currently on the project, as well as team members that have past or upcoming assignments.

If you can’t select a specific team member, it means they either don’t have an email or cell phone number assigned to them in Bridgit Bench, so they can’t be sent a message until their profile has been updated.

The Project Broadcast was built to create a direct and efficient line of communication with your project teams. The ability to send an email broadcast is now available for all Bench users. If you’d prefer to send broadcasts via SMS, reach out to your Account Manager for more information. A step-by-step guide to sending a broadcast to your project teams is available at the Bridgit Help Desk.
