TL:DR – Bridgit has consolidated its strict security policies and is excited to announce we are now SOC 2 Type 2 certified. We are committed to keeping our customer data safe and secure.
Cybersecurity has become one of the most important concerns for IT leaders across every industry. In fact, McKinsey reports that since 2020, cybersecurity has become “the most common technology transformation that companies are pursuing”. That’s why, we’re excited to announce that Bridgit is now SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
What does being SOC 2 Type 2 certified mean?
SOC 2 specifies the standard for organizations that manage customer data based on the Trust Services Criteria. This criteria includes security, confidentiality, privacy, availability, and integrity. Our SOC 2 Type 2 report documents how Bridgit’s data security policies, and procedures meet the Trust Services Criteria and demonstrate the long-term strength of the controls mapped out during the SOC 2 Type 1 process.
What does that mean for our customers?
In a rapidly evolving security landscape, we understand that it’s vital for us to do everything in our power to keep our customers’ data safe and secure. The push for data security in construction isn’t just restricted to a contractor’s internal systems either. It’s just as vital that partners and service providers, like Bridgit, have equally tight security measures to ensure there’s no avenue for leaks or hacks within the data pipeline. Being SOC 2 Type 2 certified means that our customers can rest assured that their data is safe with us.
What’s next?
We’ve assembled an internal, cross-functional committee that will oversee all security measures that includes leaders from our Engineering, IT, and Business Operations teams. We have complied to a common security framework that meets SOC 2 Type 2 requirements and have onboarded the automated compliance platform, Vanta, which allows us to ensure all of our employees are meeting those policy requirements.
